P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking a HSE Advisor to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
The primary aim of the HSE Advisor is to continually ensure the health and safety of the company’s employees, contractors and visitors and to minimise the impact the Company has on the environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Promotion, implementation and monitoring of the HSE culture
Development of procedures and systems to compliment and improve our current practices
Implementation of training and coaching for HSE related subjects throughout the company
Providing support to the Head of SHEQ
Providing HSE Support to their allocated vessels whilst on and off contract
Completing HSE sections of tenders and providing contract reviews for HSE
Managing shore based HSE for their allocated sites and liaising with safety reps, fire wardens and first aiders
Working on safety observation cards to completion for both onshore and offshore sites
Promoting our behavioural safety programme, NINA, throughout the business and conducting vessel training sessions for this
Managing any 3rd party Offshore HSE Advisors on project
Attending client meetings and conducting HIRAs
Conducting Incident investigations and reporting
Conducting in-house training and creating content for our training platform, Learning Lab
Person Specification:
Passion, personal drive and tenacity
A NEBOSH certificate qualification
Demonstrable previous experience auditing HSE systems, conducting incident investigations and working in a complex and diverse organisation
Ability to write clear and concise reports
Previous experience in offshore industry and TechIOSH are preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels across the business
Team spirit together with a proactive and collaborative work ethic
Working Hours and Benefits:
Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
