Job description

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team based in Norwich on a full time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

To oversee the overall progress and completion of the project in terms of cost, quality, schedules and deadlines whilst ensuring relationships are maintained with the client and the best interests of the business are met. The project manager will keep key stakeholders in the business informed of progress and setbacks in the project and make informed decisions on corrective actions. The project manager will always promote the QHSE values of the company.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Working with commercial team and technical support develop and issue project scope.
  • Agree/challenge commercial dept on the number/types of roles and equipment required on the project.
  • Working with asset management and personnel and logistics define sourcing strategy for people and equipment, considering internal v external, cost, availability, and suitability.
  • Working closely with the Client Representatives and Party Chief to ensure that project schedules are achieved.
  • Ownership of contractual disputes and resolution.
  • Control timely execution of the project within budget.
  • Responsible for relationship management of client.
  • Sharing timely and relevant information with management.
  • Agree budget with commercial manager and plan and control project P&I.
  • Cooperate with the preparation of Project’s Procedures, as well as issuing and acceptance by the Client.
  • Intervention.
  • Cooperate with the QHSE for the issuing the Quality Control Plan and QHSE documentation as well as issuing and acceptance by the client.
  • Working with Personnel and Logistics and Asset Management ensure the allocation of personnel and equipment to the project.
  • Liaise pre mob and daily with Party Chief to plan and monitor project activities.
  • Participate in the kick-off meeting with client.
  • Working with HR and Party Chief input to appraisals for offshore staff.
  • Participate to the internal kick off meeting with internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the management of external providers and approval of their invoices.
  • Responsible for requesting/raising purchase order, invoice preparation and approval by the client ensuring timely payment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous Project Management experience.
  • A qualification in Project Management.
  • A sound background in a commercial offshore industry.

  • Excellent MS office skills.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Ability to think on your feet as well as foresee issues in advance.
  • Strong relationship builder.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to negotiate and see both sides.
  • Ability to be resolute yet compromising when necessary.
  • Able to delegate and seek support.
  • Holding others accountable.
