The P&S Group incorporating Anglia Skills are delighted that we have been shortlisted as 1 of 3 finalists for the Suffolk Business Awards 2012.

Below is a summary of the Family Business of the Year Award

A family business can be successful and rewarding. The Family Business of the Year award will be presented to a local family business that shows strong family values, the same ethos and beliefs on how things should be done, the stability of knowing that they may be building for future generations and that have shown commitment to the wider business community through employment opportunities.

There are many home grown businesses within our region that have gone from strength to strength and we want to recognise them.

Does all the family have the same clear vision of the future of the business and are all family members in agreement with it?
Thinking of succession - Do you have a succession plan and do you offer training to your next generation of business owners? How is this done?
How do you resolve conflicts between family members within the business?
How do you promote your family values when marketing and promoting your business brand?
If employing staff, do you offer an employee recognition scheme? Would they be offered the opportunity to train and work towards promotion?
Explain how being a family business makes what you offer different your company’s products or services from those of your key competitors
