Job description

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting an Electronic Technician to join their team working on a Vessel based in Denmark, operating throughout the North Sea on a 28/28-day rotation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The updating of necessary computer software and maintenance of calibration records and the safe monitoring and controlled maintenance of radioactive equipment utilised on the vessel.
  • The care and maintenance of the electronic systems and the calibration and repair of the process monitoring and control equipment.
  • Operating or installing any electronic equipment as required.
  • Setting up and maintaining an approved spare parts inventory to facilitate repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Preparing and keeping all necessary records for process functions.
  • Ensuring rig based electrical equipment is ready to be received on rig upon vessel arrival in field.
  • The back-up of computer systems.
  • Maintenance of Company satellite and radio communications on board.
  • Actively seeks to improve overall electronic performance of vessel, highlighting any areas where improvements can be made.
  • Maintaining and updating electronic drawings via AutoCAD System.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven and reoccurring success in the field of electronics.
  • Experience with TM Master or equivalent Maintenance System.
  • Knowledge of areas such as PLC’s, Electric Motors, Control Instrumentation including Mag Flowmeters, Coriolis Flowmeters, Pressure transmitters, control valves, Pneumatics and Ethernet Networking.
  • Experience in Well Stimulation activities would be desirable but not essential.

Person Specification:

  • Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office Package including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, unsupervised or as part of a team, under time constraints.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Good record keeping ability.
